I’ve enjoyed music since I was born in 1950. Over the years I’ve collected hundreds of records, cassettes and CD’s. I studied voice and piano which led to school plays, community theatre as well as performing in and directing benefits. In my twenties I sang in Manhattan clubs. Movie Star Hedy Lemarr and Big Band singer Helen O’Connell would stop by to compliment my voice. During the seventies I did some back up vocals for a few Disco groups at a local recording studio. In 1981 an auto accident damaged my vocal cords and my singing career came to an abrupt end. Annual Botox injections made it possible for me to speak for a few months at a time. Relocating to Southern New Jersey I found employment at Atlantic City’s Sands Casino where I met Frankie Avalon, Debbie Reynolds and Rosemary Clooney. They suggested that I point my musical talent in a new direction such as song writing. So, with the help of a co-worker who was nominated for a GRAMMY Award, I started to write songs, became a member of ASCAP and began my association with HillTop Records.
