Judith Miles
Music has always been a large part of my life. My mother was a pianist/organist; she began teaching me piano before I was eight. Beginning at the age of eight and continuing until I was sixteen, I took weekly piano lessons with a music teacher. From sixteen until eighteen I studied the organ.
I married Paul, my high-school sweetheart, who also grew up in a musical family. He was a music performance major at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and performed onstage with several small combos. I got tired of being a “musician’s widow” so, after ten years of marriage we started a duo called “The Dynamic Milestones.” Paul was featured on vocals and drums, and I played a Hammond organ. Our first two-week gig turned into another few weeks, then a few months, finally running for 5 years straight.
After more than ten years of performing together, we decided to try to get a recording contract. Our contacts said that they liked our music, but we needed original songs if we hoped to record. Paul and I had just returned from our honeymoon. Yes, after fourteen years of marriage Paul and I had a honeymoon in Hawaii with our four children. Upon returning I wrote my first song, “Sweet Memories Of Our Love,” to commemorate that time. Since then I have written Christmas songs and Gospel music, Country ballads and a song to honor those whose loved ones served in Desert Storm. And my song entitled “A Child’s Prayer” was chosen by HillTop Records as a Featured Song on their website.
I believe that music is the universal language, and my mission is to bring joy and peace to all those who listen to my music.
