As a young child I was removed from an abusive home and placed in the Foster Care Program. When I was about ten years old I was put in a wonderful foster home in Washington. I was there for nearly eleven years. If it hadn’t been for that foster home and my wonderful foster parents, my life would not have turned out as good. I wrote an autobiography titled “My First Stable Home,” and it was about those foster parents and living in their home. They have both passed on. I am a breast cancer survivor. I kept a journal of my ordeal – the good days and the bad days. I have been writing since 1998. A few of my children’s Bible stories have been published, and I’ve won several trophies for my poetry. I thank God for this gift, and I want to honor God in everything I write.
