Elizabeth N. Osborne

Elizabeth Norred Osborne holds a Master’s Degree from Strayer University in Information Systems. Her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Software is from the University of New York.

As a young child Elizabeth made up songs and fairy tales to entertain the younger children. She took guitar lessons and began writing finished songs. Her guitar teacher sometimes helped with the melody line and with putting the notes on paper.

Ms Osborne raised two sons, Mark and John, and when her marriage ended, she went back to school. She juggled school with a job in the computer lab at Northern Virginia Community College, taught computer classes and ran a beauty salon. There was little time for writing in those years, but now, she’s back to songwriting. Sometimes she writes lyrics, sometimes words and music, and she is finishing her first play. When you ask Elizabeth Osborne what is her favorite style of music, she will tell you that she loves Show Tunes and soft rock ballads, and almost anything that is sung by Barbra Streisand or Elton John.
