Della Frye

I am Della Frye. My maiden name is Della Pearcy. I started writing lyrics at age 14. Before I write another song I pray and I say, "Lord I need another song. Please help me." In a few days a song comes to me. I feel creative and I can't write it down fast enough. It comes fast and I lose it if I don't write it down. When I feel creative I stop what I am doing and find anything to write on: note paper, napkin, paper bag, toilet paper or whatever else I can grab. I have always enjoyed writing, either children's short stories (fiction), poems or lyrics. I'm also a portrait artist. I do charcoal, oil paintings and pastels. I painted in public for 30 years. I have won awards a number of times.
