I was born in Yantley, Alabama and lived there until I was 4 years old. I
now live in Toledo, Ohio. I obtained an Associate Degree in Business
Management in 1976. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal
Justice in 2001.
I began my active participation in music at the age of 10. I started with an
organ for a child, and I played the clarinet through elementary school. At
the age of 14 I began piano lessons. My father was musical. He played
the guitar, and music filled the air at our house on Christmas. Music came
from his side of the family. I have always enjoyed music, and I listen
intently to the words of a song. My favorite artists are Whitney Houston,
Shirley Caesar, Brandy, Al Green and Smokey Robinson. I enjoy Gospel, R
& B as well as Instrumental music.
I love to read the bible, and it inspires me to write. I love to write religious
poetry, and much of the poetry that I write comes directly from my love of
reading the bible. Writing religious poetry is truly a blessing, and I am very
thankful for the gift that I have been given.
When I’m not writing poetry I love to travel. I want to see other cities all
across America as well as other countries all over the world. Someday I
hope to live in the sunny city of Orlando, Florida. I love the sunshine.
