Arlene A. Luther

Basically, I have had an uneventful life. My family was a fairly ordinary middle class family, although my mother was gifted. Few, if any, ever really seemed to notice this fact other than my father. I graduated high school with mostly an "A" average. I didn't take any tough stuff like chemistry though. I did have a leading role in the musical South Pacific my Senior Year. This afforded me some respect among my peers. I graduated from University of Ne., Lincoln, with a Bachelor of Music Education. I was the first family member to accomplish this level of education. I had a leading role at the University as well. It was a love story, an opera by Benjamin Brittan. I received an "A" from both the music and drama departments. I taught a few years. I had a band that received a B at various competitions and my choir received A's. I also had a musical rendition of "A Christmas Carol" performed by k-I2. I presented a pageant for disabled children with a censorial approach based on the teaching research of Maria Montessori, and various other programs. I married Tom Luther. We had three wonderful children. This is where I devoted most of my life. I most liked being a mom. I live in Omaha, Ne. My children are all grown and successful in various careers such as computer science, civil engineering, and other desk work.
